Our appreciation goes to WASH SECTOR NIGERIA for trusting DAF enough to allocate some HYGIENE KITS and NFIs to us to distribute to one of the Informal IDP camp in Maiduguri name Chezcoan IDP camp.
The activities spans between August 13th to 22nd, 2022.
Items inside the HYGIENE KITS for 90 Pregnant Women are as follows:
1. Jerry can(10L) – 1pcs.
2. Kettle (2L) – 1pcs.
3. Solar powered torch – 1pcs.
4. Jerry can(25L) – 1pcs.
5. Bucket (20L) – 1pcs.
6. Child potty – 1pcs.
7. Torchlight rechargeable – 1pcs.
8. Toothbrush, standard large size – 3pcs.
9. Toothbrush, standard small size – 3pcs.
10. Toothpaste standard tube – 2 PCs.
11. Laundry soap (200g) – 14 PCs
While the one for the 100 Lactating Women are as follows:
1. 20l bucket- 2pcs.
2. Laundry soap(250g)- 1pcs.
3. Plastic cup(1L) – 1pcs.
4. Plastic kettle(2l)- 2pcs.
With these items, we were able to reached 90 pregnant women and 100 Lactating women.
In total we reached 190HHs and 1359 Individuals (Boys=521, Girls=460, Men=188, Women=190).
This, the WASH SECTOR NIGERIA do to support the affected populace and to encouraged them to practice Hygiene in their house, DAF has been carried out sensitization and awareness to the pregnant and lactating women in the camp through our IYCF Counseling Card and SBCC.
The distribution was a success and they were appreciative as well.
